Egg in a Window
Mother’s Days Egg in a Window
Ingredients:
- 1 Organic Farm Egg
- 1 Slice Brioche Bread
- 30 Grams Pearl Street Keluga
- 2 Tablespoons Salted Butter
- 1 Lemon
- 5oz Smoked Salmon
- Maldon Salt and Fresh Black Pepper
- Lemon Oil
- Edible Flowers, Micro Greens and / or Wild Mint For Garnish (optional)
Specialty Tools:
- Micro Plane Citrus Zester
- Cookie Cutter (2.5 inches in diameters)
- 8 Inch Non-Stick Pan
- Gather all the ingredients and tools needed
- Punch out the center of the brioche
- Toast brioche in a toaster over
- While bread is toasting, add 1 tablespoon of butter to a non-stick saute pan over medium heat
- When butter foams, crack the egg into pan. Be careful not to break egg
- Cook egg over medium heat for 1.5 minutes, or until egg white begins to set, remove from heat
- Place toasted brioche on a plate, spread butter over toast, place egg into center of brioche slice
- Place smoked salmon around bread slice, do not cover egg in center, garnish salmon with Pearl Street Keluga Caviar
- Add edible flowers around toast slice
- Drizzle a little lemon oil over toast, season with Maldon salt and fresh cracked pepper
- Zest with Lemon
